Web design for computers is aimed at bigger screens. Accordingly, all the major design elements are bigger in both size and number. Mobile device web design is aimed at smaller touchscreens. This means that all the elements will be smaller in both size and number. Besides that, touchscreens usually do not support mouse cursors, and mobile device web design also takes this into consideration.
